I would like your permission to go

since it has been a while
about one hundred and two years
to be exact.  And I know that there
is much more to be said, and so much
more to do, but in the end, aren't
those all actions and words
that someone else somewhere else
has already said or done?
Honestly, you are still too young
at your wee tiny age of seventy
to understand yet.  And your children
and their children probably have a
bit to learn as well.  But on the
other side of the century,
it all starts again.  So let me go
and adventure away, you still
have plenty to take care of
without me, so you can learn
to be where I am.
