He walks into the store, rubbing the tears
from his eyes with his grease-covered hands as he nears
the aisle where he had planned to do his deed.

It took a long time to come around
to this kind of act on his part, he found
it really relied on a certain kind of need.

He knew in his heart it must be wrong
to take without paying, he knew all along
but was it right when the children's hungry mouths he'd feed?
