If There Were Two Things I Regret

I might apologize, and honestly,
I have always felt badly about
those situations.  But you must
also know, regrets are wasted
on those who choose to live a
lie, a life buried and mired in a
past that never happened, myth
and fantasy, denial of the real,
the now, the world that was a
product of each and every one
of my poor choices, mistakes,
and errors. Though I should
choose to avoid making these
blunders once again, I find my
willpower self-destructs.  Will
you still forgive me when I fall
from the same cliff?  I choose
to learn and progress (for once)
while still trying to focus on the
success rather than the failure.
And yet, and yet, I regret, I regret.
