"Have you forgotten what we were like thenOf course I didn't forget, did you?
when we were still first rate
and the day came fat with an apple in its mouth" - Frank O'Hara, Animals
When money flowed like green rivers
--and free lunches -- when the world was ours
I know we're talking about different times
but the pastures were the same, though my
speedometer was digital.
I was lightning, then, but only because I did
not realize what speed was -- and now, O how
I realize what an Animal we were.

Great take on this prompt.
I especially love the line, "I know we're talking about different times but pastures were the same," such great imagery.
Hey - thanks :) Appreciate the time you took to stop by and read it.
