Word Addict

Nic-fit junkie smack-fix
cracked-out, strung-out
eyesockets bulging
above dark bags
fingers worn thin
to nubs, remnants
no needle holes,
smoke or powders
save residue from
printer cartridges
and the guilt plagues
not from the addiction
but from avoiding
the time to write.
