It is amazing how quickly you want
to take off and get running and get started
to fly and get cranking and get moving
when all you have is an idea
Then again, all new ideas are
better than the ones you had before.
Those ideas are
old
stale
hardly worth your attention.
Not to mention the new stuff is different
it's more fun, somehow.
Some call it sexy.
I call it new.
And yet, when you finally achieve
the project or the thing that you tried to start
there is some sense of loss
like you are not working for something anymore
Or worse! You move into the maintenance
of trying to keep the project alive
which to some people is boring
which to me says you didn't love doing it in the first place
and maybe, just maybe, I don't know, maybe
you should have stuck with the old ideas that were
tried and true
instead of chasing new things just because
they were new
But that's not the mindset of those who
create
build
live in the entrepreneurial world
The motion is what keeps them alive
like sharks, swimming eagerly waiting for
another meal that they don't know will come
but only breathing by moving forward, never looking back
so with the current project
you must decide
to let it be as perfect as it is
and stop trying to make it as it could be
with the next project
stop thinking about how it might begin
and start working towards the finish
because that is the cycle of production, and you are its novel cog
