it laughs at me.
staring up with no eyes, just a
wide gaping mouth
I know it can't hurt me
there's no throat, no teeth
just wide flapping lips
but somehow I keep staring
down down in the mouth
looking for something
running along the outside, I can find the back of it
just a thin, hard line
the edge almost sharp
where I made the crease in the page
laugh on, little one, smile big, bare teeth
for I have hidden my secrets inside of you
with just a single fold of the paper.
