blistery December morning
balmy in the South-H

Figure it will take at least twenty-
four to make it happen everywhere
or is it going to implode

in that one second
when the earth has spun
and everyone shares a date

volcanos, asteroids, nuclear war
the Mayans never told us
how, only when.
