Winding Down

The key sticking out the
back of the day seems to
turn much slower towards the
end as if the coil inside
that was spinning rapidly as work began
now takes hours upon hours
for each minute to pass
as we approach the end
and the toy we call work
finally comes to stop moving
and the key stops turning
as the day ends
