Lost In The Dark

Oops, I got lost in the dark
again wondering wandering where I know I have
been and I know that I feel like I'm nowhere
and yet I can tell you I know I have been here
I bet.

Where did I leave her that jewel
of mine and my watch is so broken, no, what is
the time? Please don't help me I like being lost
like I am, as if every day riddles were
Green Eggs and Ham.

Sleeping so peacefully, what I
should do and I know that if I did I would join
with you because you are already asleep
I can tell so I better not make noise I better
not yell.

I miss you my darling and you
miss me too or at least that is what I would
hope you would do because I haven't seen you in
two hundred days, well, OK, it was two but it can't
seem that way.

Goodnight and good evening I bid you
adieu because after tonight, my childhood
is through and there's no going back to the
light in the hall, like I said, it is dark, so
there's no light at all.
