Speak of the Devil, and the Devil

Speak of the Devil, and the Devil
tells lies.  Wonder who the Devil
is and you might be surprised.

The answer stares you violently
in the face.  The question
stops your frozen visage in a snapshot.
The mirror looks back at you but only
when you look.  Your reflection otherwise
darts about dabbling in mischief.
What are your thoughts busy doing
while you sleep?  What is the plotline
of your dreams while you’re awake?
For every reaction, there is an equal and
opposite turn of phrase.  And every
description requires an object.

So when you speak of the Devil, don't
ask me who.  For the Devil's the Angel
and the Angel is You.
