What shines brighter
a diamond or the light's refraction?

What glows brighter
the light or the energy that burns it?

What is stronger
the machine or the engine that powers it?

there is no force
no light shines bright
no individual who can claim

that any credit due them
isn't also due a thousand
parts that make it up the same.

every object, every force
has a backing strength

and in that strength a fuel
keeps the fire burning.
